Roman Grübner

Roman Grübner (born 1984) received in the very early years an intensive ballet, vocal and piano training at the Staatstheater Schwerin and rounded off his singing education with Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau, Julia Varady and Rainer Goldberg, at the Hans Eisler – University of Music, in Berlin. The young baritone sung as a soloist under Christian Thielemann, Stefan Soltesz, Teodor Currentzis and others, and collaborated with directors such as Nikolaus Lehnhoff or Philippe Arlaud several times in excellent opera productions. His musical career took him to the Philharmonie Berlin, the Tonhalle Zürich, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden, the Concertgebouw Amsterdam and others. He sang at many theaters of Germany and Switzerland ( e.g. Theaters of Münster, Schwerin, St. Gallen, Berlin, Brandenburg) big parts of his repertoire roles (e.g.Papageno in the ”Magic Flute“, ”Barber of Seville“, Mercutio in ”Romeo et Juliette”, Albert in ”Werther“ and much more besides.
Since 2017, Roman Grübner is working as a freelance artist in Germany and is increasingly devoted to song and concert singing. His song repertoire includes more than 275 songs by renowned composers of all eras.
