General Information
Among the main goals of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra Friends Association, in Israel and abroad:
- Maintaining and supporting the JSO’s status as a quality and professional symbol of Jerusalem
- Supporting the orchestra as a center of attraction for excellent players from Israel and abroad. The JSO’s 70 players form an Israeli mosaic of new immigrants and musicians from Israel and the rest of the world.
- Promoting the orchestra’s activities in support of Jerusalem’s social fabric.
- Promoting educational activities aiming to improve musical education and the implementation of multi-generational diverse music.
- Supporting concerts in Israel and national professional tours abroad.
- Upgrading and purchasing new musical instruments.
- Supporting activities marking 90 years to the establishment of the JSO.
- Initiating and planning of the Jerusalem Hall of Sounds, marking 100 years to the establishment of the JSO.
Your donation and support also makes it possible for us to realize projects such as:

- Educational concerts – in the last few months we have held dozens of small ensemble concerts in schools, as well as a number of ‘peak’ concerts at cultural centers throughout Israel.
- ‘The Future is Already Here’ (1.5.24) – The JSO salutes young talented musicians from Jerusalem conservatoires, conducted by Guy Feder.
- ‘Things We Wanted to Say’ (Memorial Day Eve, 12.5.24) – A Special Concert, Live from The Sultan’s Pool, featuring Israel’s finest musicians.
