Have you always wanted to sing with a Symphony Orchestra?
Here’s your chance!

For Sukkot, and also with the quarantine situation, we at the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, in cooperation with MILA – Promoting Vocal Music in Israel and Hallel – The Israel Choral Organisation, are embarking on a new exciting project, inviting ALL OF YOU to a new musical challenge, JSO style – Quarantine Stars.

And if you already sing at home, to your friends and family, why not go for it?

• So, how does it work? We’ve uploaded three videos for three songs (‘Jerusalem of Gold‘, ‘Katonti‘ and Habanera from the Opera Carmen), to which we’ve added the lyrics, as well as recordings of the songs with tone changes.
  
  
  
• Pick one song, and make a high quality vertical video (see example) of yourself singing, using your mobile (we really recommend using a headphone with the orchestral playback, so that playback audio would not filter into the recording). 
  
  
• Now send us your video using Facebook Messenger, to the JSO Facebook Page (Our page name on Facebook: Jerusalem.Symphony.Orchestra). 
  Please provide us also with you full name (for a personal greeting), and your E-Mail address (so that we could send you the combined video)

The clip sent by you will be edited here at the JSO to include our players in the background. That means, we will be sending you back a personal video of your song performed with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra players, like in these two examples.

The three performers with the most ‘likes’ will get a rare opportunity  – an invitation to sing LIVE with the JSO, on stage at the Henry Crown Symphony Hall (incl. a high quality video/audio recording, of course).
