Gershon Dembinsky
Gershon Dembinsky, a graduate of the Guildhall School for Music and Drama in London, joined the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA in 1977 and in 1981 became principal clarinet player. He has played under the baton of well-known conductors in Israel and abroad and premiered in many contemporary works by Israeli as well as foreign composers. He participated in the Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival and appeared with the Borodin Trio during the Israel Festival. Dembinsky, a member of the 21st Century Ensemble, received high praise for his CD recording of “Clarinet Fantasia.” In 2002-2003 he taught and gave recitals in Germany and is frequently invited to perform in Europe.
