Eyal Vilner

Eyal Vilner holds the position of first horn player at the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA since 1985. Before that he was Associate Principal and third horn at the orchestra and first player at the Be’er Sheva Symphonietta. Vilner is regularly invited as permanent guest player at the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. He played in different chamber ensemble, including the Israeli Brass Quintet, and the Van Leer Institute chamber series. He was one of the first player of the Israeli Camerata when it was still located in Rehovot.
Vilner is a founding member of the summer music seminar in Debrecen, Hungary since 1991. The seminar ran for six years, during which time he played as a soloist with the Debrecen Philharmonic Orchestra at the opening of the seminar. His teachers include Yaakov Mishori and Mordechai Rachtmann. He was a recipient of the Israel-America Cultural Foundation in the years 1975–1983.
