The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra invites applications and
recommendations for the position of Music Director
Required skills and abilities

• An accomplished conductor experienced in leading a professional orchestra
• A passionate artist with a bold vision
• A networker with strong relationships with various industry players, including A-list soloists, conductors, recording labels, agencies and peer institutions worldwide
• An internationally recognised musician capable of expanding the orchestra’s touring activities
• An excellent public speaker who can represent the orchestra in a variety of stakeholders, with extensive experience in fundraising
• A collaborative team member
• Knowledge of the Israeli music scene would be highly desirable
