Betty Hoven

An introduction to the life and work of the composer Ludwig van Beethoven from the point of view of Mrs. “Betty Hoven” – an outrageously comical professor who is a great admirer of the immortal composer.

Betty Hoven, who has modeled her entire person and home in the composer’s likeness, knows every detail of his life and work.  She would never miss a concert featuring Beethoven’s works!  At our concert, Betty also insists on teaching the conductor a thing or two about the great Beethoven. Her exchanges with the conductor and the orchestra sheds light on the special, and often complicated, life of the composer who, from the age of thirty, had to face his most difficult ordeal – deafness.

In the concert, excerpts from Beethoven’s orchestral works, mainly from the symphonies, will be performed.
