An All-Puccini Evening

In cooperation with the Jerusalem Opera

Two masterpieces by Puccini:

The short opera Il tabarro (“The Cloak”), the first of the three operas comprising the Il trittico trilogy, is a dark and moving one-act opera. It paints a vivid portrait of the hard life of common people aboard a barge on the Seine in Paris, where beneath the surface swirl pain, loneliness, and passion—culminating in a chilling ending.

The second act of Tosca stands on its own as a gripping drama, presenting a fateful confrontation between the singer Tosca and Baron Scarpia, where power, desire, loyalty, and courage collide.

The concert will will also be performed on Saturday 25.10 – for tickets
