Music is in Our Nature - Family Series

In the beginning God created the sky and the earth, and drops of rain fell from the sky and drummed gently on the tree trunks. And the wind saw that is was good, blew through the reeds and through the fields and shook the leaves. The birds saw and sang their songs, the wolves heard and howled…
And Man… Man sat… and watched… and heard… and listened.

Like many things in our lives, music was also borne of nature. Since its birth it derives from nature and is influenced by it. By listening to music, we can go back and hear how composers experienced nature and how they related to the world of creation.
Nowadays, with our relationship with the environment becoming an issue, we have decided to approach the subject musically. For music is in our nature.

You might have wondered who created the orchestra. Then let us tell you about Tony.

Once upon a time there was a single sound looking for a home. He wandered through noises and rattles, shrieks and thunder, butnever really found his place. And so, for many years he went on looking for a 'true' home.

On our first concert of the Family series we will look for a home for Tony together. Along the journey we will get acquainted with the unique sounds of the different sections which create the orchestra, by listening for wonderful and joyous works by Tchaikovsky, Rimsky-Korsakov, Debussy and more.
