The Israeli Vocal Ensemble

The Israeli Vocal Ensemble was established in 1993 by the conductor and music director Yuval Benozer, and quickly became one of the leading vocal ensembles in Israel. Since its foundation, the ensemble has placed emphasis on excellence and high artistic standards, promoting Israeli art and artists and bringing vocal music to as wide an audience as possible. The ensemble, composed of 17 professional singers, performs in the most prestigious halls and festivals in Israel, in its own series, as well as with Israel’s leading orchestras, winning the acclaims of audiences, critics, and professional musicians alike. The ensemble’s repertoire covers a broad range from medieval to modern and avant-garde music, and it also includes sound tracks. The ensemble has won first prizes in international choir competitions in Malta, Spain and Belgium, and has participated in numerous international festivals: Portugal, Germany, France, Luxembourg, Sardinia, Slovenia, Korea and more. The ensemble also runs concerts and other educational projects for children.

The ensemble is supported by Israel’s Ministry of Culture and Sports, the Tel Aviv Municipality, The Pais and private donors.
