This year\u2019s Hallelujah Festival is dedicated to the theme of Passion.

The festival\u2019s opening concert features Orff\u2019s Carmina<\/strong> Burana<\/strong>, as well as the world premi\u00e8re of Hana Ajiashvilli\u2019s Riddle<\/strong>, for soloists, choirs and orchestra, based on a short unsolved riddle by Rabbi Yehuda HaLevi, an \u2018emotional work about temptation and passion that could kill\u2019, according to the composer.

Also in this year\u2019s festival – A special Christmas concert with the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra , Tchaikovsky\u2019s Romeo and Juliet<\/strong>\u00a0and the Symphonic Dances from Bernstein\u2019s West Side Story<\/strong>, as well as Bart\u00f3k\u2019s\u00a0Bluebeard\u2019s<\/strong> Castle<\/strong> in a concert of what could be described killing desire; a concert of music from Sephardic traditions with Firqat Alnur Orchestra \u2013 and a Classical-Jazz concert with Yaron Gottfried and friends.
