The Vocal Series

Subscribers of our Vocal Series, which focuses on the wonders of the human voice should expect a celestial 80th season!

The series’ highlights include Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 and Choral Fantasy, Handel’s wonderful Messiah, Brahms’ and Fauré’s Requiems, as well as a festive concert commemorating Leonard Bernstein's 100 centennial – and Arias from operas by Verdi, Puccini and others. As a part of our desire to share with you, our wonderful audience, Israel's finest new musical voices - our programme also features works by our finest local composers.

The JSO's Music Director, Maestro Frédéric Chaslin, who is of course one of the world’s leading Opera conductors, will be conducting four of the seven concerts – and guest conductors include Karl-Heinz Steffens (Germany), Nicholas McGegen (Britain) and Yaron Gottfried (Israel).

The Vocal Series features wonderful soloists from Israel and abroad, and we will also be hosting The Monteverdi Choir (Hamburg), The Oratorio Chamber Choir conducted by Kate Belshé and the Jerusalem Music and Dance Academy Choir conducted by Stanley Sperber.

Terms of Purchase

  • Last season’s seats will be held for renewing subscribers until June 10th, 2016
  • Seats will not be reserved for subscribers to the Family Concert Series
  • New subscribers will be allocated seats after July 10th, 2016, on a first-come, first-served basis
  • The program of the Highlights Series is fixed and the concerts are non exchangeable
  • Tickets for the Pupils and Young People (up to 30)/Student Subscriptions are subject to availability
