Shohat-Nahari Concert-Lecture Series (2012-13)
Gil Shohat, conductor | Oren Nahari, lecturer
Concert-Lecture Series: history, politics, ideology - and the music that accompanied them.
Gil Shohat, conductor, pianist and composer, is one of the prominent figures in the Israeli music world. Oren Nahari, World News editor at IBA’s Channel 1, is an inexhaustible source of knowledge and insight on major historical events as well as the small stories that have set them in motion.
These two prodigies have joined together to create a series of five meetings in the format of a lecture plus concert -
five thematic events, five overviews discussing the relationship of music to history, politics and ideology.
