Born in Israel, studied with Gabriel Vole in Tel Aviv, and in Berlin with Rain Zepperitz and Michael Wolf. He has participated in Masterclasses with Ludwig Streicher, Klaus Stoll, Dorin Marc, among others. He was a recipient of America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships.
As the Ferenc Fricsay fellow of the Deutches Symphonie-Orchester (DSO) performed with that orchestra for a year. He is invited to play with the Berlin Philharmonic, the Israel Philharmonic, and the resident orchestra of Valencia’s opera house, under such conductors as Zubin Mehta, Sir Simon Rattle, Lorin Maazel, and many others. He was a member of the West-Eastern Divan Orchestra, founded by Daniel Barenboim and Eduard Said.
Eran is especially devoted to new music, and has performed with some of the leading ensembles in the field, including Ensemble Modern, Frankfurt, Kammerensemble Neue Musik Berlin (KNM), the Israel Contemporary Players, Ensemble Nikel and Ensemble Meitar. He has collaborated with composers like Pierre Boulez, Mauricio Kagel, Peter Eötvös, George Benjamin, Wolfgang Rihm, and Brian Freneyhough.
Has been a member of the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, IBA, since 2012.
